In fact, its name comes from the words Silva and Domini, or the “wood” of a “noble owner”, in this case the Corsini family, whose coats of arms still stand out on the two main buildings of the borgo.
Over the centuries, the manor house with the stone barn, the pigsty and the cellar for the barrels of the famous Tuscan Vin Santo have been added to the oldest structure of the borgo, with the small pigeon house. Today Borgo Salvadonica is a small jewel of the Chianti lands, entirely taken over and carefully restored by Baccetti’s family since the 1980s. Surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, with a beautiful park and the surrounding forest, it is the ideal destination for a stay in Tuscany between history and nature.
